Every month Kids ‘n Comedy presents a showcase of our best and brightest teenage stand-up grads at Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan. We won’t ask you to wear a tie. In fact, we hate ties. Nobody wearing a tie is allowed in. There, we’ve put our foot down. Come see the funniest young comedians in New York, and even get the chance to tell a joke yourself, live on stage. I mean, what else are you doing on a Sunday

Also, if it’s your birthday, we’ll give you a shout out on stage, and do our best to make all of your friends really jealous. KIDS ‘N COMEDY is a great place to bring a birthday party (just make sure you give us 3 weeks notice.)

Appropriate for ages:
9yrs – really, really old.

$15 Cover + 1 item minimum per person
Lunch menu is available and served during the show.
All shows are on Sunday and start at 1pm

KIDS ‘N COMEDY at Gotham Comedy Club presents original stand-up comedy shows written and performed by the funniest young people, aged 11-18, from the tri-state area and beyond. Offering classes and summer camps all throughout the year, Kids ‘N Comedy employs professional NYC comedians (who were pitifully unpopular in high school) to teach even the angstiest of teenagers how to channel their adolescent awkwardness into original and hilarious stand-up routines. The Toby Project is a nonprofit organization working to end the killing of thousands of adoptable dogs and cats each year in New York City's animal shelters through a targeted, free and low-cost spay/neuter initiative.

We are the only organization in NYC whose sole mission is to address pet overpopulation at its inception by preventing the births of unwanted dogs and cats. We will make NYC a true "no-kill" community by directing spay and neuter at the very animals who would otherwise perpetuate a vicious cycle of unwanted birth and unnecessary death.

Stewie to the Rescue! was founded in 2010 by a group of anmial lovers who recognized that the prohibitive cost of space, training, and health care is leading to the unnecessary abandonment and euthanization of scores of adoptable pets. To the end, Stewie to the Rescue! is dedicated to helping the neediest cases by providing emergency funding and raising awareness.

Each year, we provide more than 1,000 free, unique and powerful creative writing workshops throughout New York City for people from groups that have been historically deprived of voice in our society, including at-risk and disconnected youth, the homeless and formerly homeless, the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, war veterans, people with disabilities, cancer and major illness, immigrants, seniors and others.

Because of their passion for comedy and their desperate desire not to practice law, the Comedians at Law (www.comediansatlaw.com) joined together to travel the country, deliver their diverse and intelligent brand of humor, and entertain audiences at law schools, bar associations, law firms, comedy clubs and anyone else willing to cut a check that can be used to pay down their student loans. The reaction has been overwhelming, and members of Comedians at Law have appeared on Fox News "On the Record,” CBS, Sirius/XM’s “Raw Dog” Comedy (as guests and as guest-hosts of their morning program), and in The Wall Street Journal and CNN.com.

The group is proud to announce that it has partnered with The Gotham Comedy Foundation (GCF) (the nonprofit charitable affiliate of the Gotham Comedy Club, which has as its mission to bring humor to those who need it, one laugh at a time!), and is performing at this show as a fundraiser for GCF.

GCF sends stand up comics to hospitals, nursing homes, senior centers and social agencies at no cost to these community partners to bring humor to the sick, aged and lonely as part of its humor therapy program. GCF provides scholarships to New York public school students to attend workshops in stand up comedy and creative comedy writing. GCF supports research on the use of humor in health care. Contributions to the Gotham Comedy Foundation are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law

Danny Aiello the Academy Award nominated actor and singer whose performances in more than 80 films, including Moonstruck, Once Around and Do the Right Thing, will be appearing Sunday, June 23 at Gotham Comedy Club. His show entitled "An Evening with Danny Aiello" will feature Mr. Aiello with members of his jazz band "Joe Geary and the Guys" performing a collection of traditional standards from Mr. Aiello's previously released (4) albums together with a variety of other Aiello contemporary favorites. Mr. Aiello made his recording debut in 2004 with the album I Just Wanted to Hear the Words, debuting at #4 on the Billboard chart and went on to release 3 additional critically acclaimed records. Variety Magazine says “an appealing mix of dash and swagger…a musically adept, firmly controlled baritone” while the Los Angeles Times says, “His voice warm and amiable, his phrasing easygoing and conversational, his singing revealed influences from his numerous idols-Bobby Darin in particular…but as with his acting, Aiello’s singing at its core was far more than an accumulation of influences. A Special Evening Honoring the Memory of Samantha Stachel

Samantha Stachel passed away on April 18, 2013, at age 18. Samantha placed
a high value on education. At age 7, Samantha was diagnosed with Ewing's
Sarcoma, a malignant bone tumor, in her right fibula, followed by several
recurrences through the age of 18. Samantha viewed cancer as an
inconvenience. She strived to lead a full normal life, never taking a day
for granted, including how important it was to get the most from her
education. She pursued academic excellence, achieving a stellar academic
record, earning all A's and one B in her entire high school career and
established a humanitarian club to help local organizations in need.
Samantha played BIG her whole life regardless of the circumstances.

She was admitted to attend Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University. She
enthusiastically shared her decision to attend Barrett Honors College on
her Facebook page and was so looking forward to continuing her journey for
academic and social growth at college.

While Samantha cannot physically be at ASU as a student, her spirit and her
vision will attend Barrett for a long time to come by establishing this
perpetual scholarship fund in her honor for students who demonstrate
academic excellence, character, and leadership in the face of challenging
circumstances. In this way, Samantha will inspire others to be connected to
their lives and purpose, seize the moment, remain determined no matter what
challenges shows up, find joy in what you do, not take others for granted,
and live with humor.

This fund will continue Samantha’s journey and legacy to inspire others.

Alex Barnett
As the White, Jewish husband of a Black woman (who converted to Judaism) and the father of a 16-month old, Biracial son, he focuses on the challenges of being a parent in a bad economy and the issues that confront interracial families. Alex, who left his law career to pursue his career in comedy (to the consternation of his mother) has been featured on Sirius/XM Radio’s “Raw Dog Comedy,” and in The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, and CNN.com. In 2011, he won the 12th Annual Gilda’s Club (Northern NJ) Laugh-Off.

Dan Enfield
Combining outrageously raunchy observations, biting insights into the absurdities of modern living, and the occasional poorly placed pun with an in-your-face stage presence, Daniel Enfield has quickly become one of the most recognizable faces in comedy. Originally from Miami, Dan began his comedy work while at the University of Colorado. In 2007, he was one of several comedians featured at Denver’s Oriental Theater for a performance called The Bad Boys of Jewish Comedy. In the days that have followed, Dan has performed at clubs and colleges across the country, including The Miami Improv, Syracuse University, Denver University, The University of Colorado Boulder and Florida International University. Since 2009, Dan has been a resident of New York, a city he has embraced and which has embraced him.

Max Neuman
Max Neuman is a rising comedian and writer, born and raised in New York City. Max wants to make clear that he is not from Long Island, Westchester, New Jersey, or Connecticut, all of which seem like very nice places to have been born and raised, too. So nice, in fact, that Max wonders why people from those places say they are from New York City instead. When Max is not wondering about that, he performs at clubs, bars, and his studio apartment, a masterful space that quadruples as a living room, bedroom, home office, and practice stage.
