Every month Kids ‘n Comedy presents a showcase of our best and brightest teenage stand-up grads at Gotham Comedy Club in Manhattan. We won’t ask you to wear a tie. In fact, we hate ties. Nobody wearing a tie is allowed in. There, we’ve put our foot down. Come see the funniest young comedians in New York, and even get the chance to tell a joke yourself, live on stage. I mean, what else are you doing on a Sunday

Also, if it’s your birthday, we’ll give you a shout out on stage, and do our best to make all of your friends really jealous. KIDS ‘N COMEDY is a great place to bring a birthday party (just make sure you give us 3 weeks notice.)

Appropriate for ages:
9yrs – really, really old.

$15 Cover + 1 item minimum per person
Lunch menu is available and served during the show.
All shows are on Sunday and start at 1pm

KIDS ‘N COMEDY at Gotham Comedy Club presents original stand-up comedy shows written and performed by the funniest young people, aged 11-18, from the tri-state area and beyond. Offering classes and summer camps all throughout the year, Kids ‘N Comedy employs professional NYC comedians (who were pitifully unpopular in high school) to teach even the angstiest of teenagers how to channel their adolescent awkwardness into original and hilarious stand-up routines. Ernst was the host of the Oxygen Series LOVE GAMES: BAD GIRLS NEED LOVE TOO. He was also featured on the BET series ONE MIC STAND & the SHOWTIME series COMICS WITHOUT BORDERS. Ernst starred in the feature film VINCE VAUGHN'S WILD WEST COMEDY SHOW, a film documenting Ernst with Vaughn & three other comedians as they performed to sold-out crowds in a 30 night-30 venue tour across America. Bret was a recurring character on the hit SHOWTIME series WEEDS, and has guest starred on CSI: NY. He appeared in Artie Lange's movie, BEER LEAGUE and hosted the series WRESTLING SOCIETY X on MTV. His stand-up has been featured on THE LATE LATE SHOW on CBS, LOPEZ TONIGHT on TBS and COMEDY CENTRAL'S PREMIUM BLEND. Mario Cantone

Mario Cantone, the celebrated New York stage actor and stand-up comedian gained critical acclaim with his Tony-nominated one-man show Laugh Whore, from its appearance at the Cort Theatre on Broadway to the Showtime special. The previous theatre season saw Cantone starring in the Tony-winning Assassins by Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman. Both hit shows were directed by two-time Tony-winner Joe Mantello.

An accomplished stage actor, Cantone has appeared on Broadway in the role of “Buzz” in Terrence McNally's award-winning dramatic comedy, Love! Valor! Compassion! and “Stephano” in Shakespeare's The Tempest at the Public Theater. Off Broadway, Cantone was the original “Terry” in The Crumple Zone, and played “Benny” in June Moon and “Grumio” in the Shakespeare in the Park production of The Taming of the Shrew.

He starred in the release of Sony's animated film, Surf's Up, and appeared in the hilarious film The Aristocrats. On television, Cantone can currently be seen as Anthony, Charlotte's wedding-planner-with-attitude, now that HBO’s Sex and the City is in syndication on TBS, as well as the Sex and the City movie franchise. On Comedy Central, Cantone's performances have been featured on The USO Comedy Tour, Chappelle's Show, and various other network specials.

Cantone has performed his irreverent stand-up comedy at a wide range of venues, including Carnegie Hall, where he warmed up jazz great Shirley Bassey. Over the years his routines have included musical parodies of Judy Garland, Jim Morrison, Peggy Lee, Bruce Springsteen and Liza Minnelli.

Cantone got his start hosting the local New York children's show Steampipe Alley, where the comic slipped in sly pop culture innuendo that adults could enjoy. His other television credits include appearances on Late Night with David Letterman, Oprah, Martha, The Today Show, and multiple appearances on ABC’s The View.

Greg Behrendt continues to crush it! In 2009, Behrendt’s second comedy special, “That Guy from That Thing,” was released by Image Entertainment after premiering on Comedy Central. Greg hit the road with the “Greg Behrendt’s Totally Into You Comedy Tour” and made his Edinburgh Festival debut at The Assembly Rooms. In 2010, Greg wrote a half hour sitcom pilot for CBS, produced and starred in “There Might Be Cake”, an unscripted pilot for IFC, and performed stand-up at both the Melbourne and Montreal International Comedy Festivals, and worked as a Consulting Producer on NBC’s Love Bites. In 2011 Greg launched the podcast “Walking the Room” and its standup spin-off, “Starfish Circus”, both of which he hosts with Dave Anthony; he also headlined an episode of John Oliver’s New York Standup Show on Comedy Central, performed stand-up at Nando’s Cape Town Comedy Festival in South Africa, and is currently writing a pilot for AMC with Hank Azaria and Jerry Stahl. Additionally, Greg tours country with his band The Reigning Monarchs and is a NY Times bestselling author.

Behrendt currently lives in LA with his wife/writing and producing partner Amiira and their two daughters.

Bryan Callen is often recognized from his numerous film and television roles. Currently, he can be seen as Captain Frank Dashell, the leader of the Undead Task Force, whose job it is to rid the valley of Los Angeles of zombies, werewolves, and vampires in the MTV comedy series, “Death Valley.” He can also be seen in a stand-out performance in Lions Gate’s WARRIOR with Tom Hardy, which is playing in theaters nationwide. Earlier this year he played Samir, the Middle Eastern strip club owner/ gun runner in THE HANGOVER II, and in THE HANGOVER he played Eddie, the Middle Eastern owner of a wedding chapel. Next, audiences will be able to see him in his new one-hour special titled “Bryan Callen: Man Class,” which will premiere later this year on Showtime.

Born in the Phillipines, Callen spent the first fourteen years of his life overseas in countries like India, Pakistan, Greece and Lebanon, before moving to the US. He went to high school in Massachusetts and earned his BA in History at American University in Washington DC.

Callen began doing standup in New York in 1993 and in 1995, he moved to Los Angeles where he made his television debut as one of the eight original cast members on “MADtv”and he appeared on the show for two seasons, until 1997. His most popular characters included Pool Boy from Cabana Chat with Dixie Wetsworth and motivational speaker Al Casdy. Callen also performed impersonations of Bill Clinton, Robert De Niro, Luke Perry, Steven Seagal, Jim Carrey, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Frank Gifford.

After leaving “MADtv,” he went on to play numerous roles on the small screen. He had a brief fling with Carrie Bradshaw on HBO’s “Sex and the City” where he played an overzealous lover who turns sex into a hydraulic experience, which she refers to as ‘jackrabbit sex.’ He also appeared as Kirstie Alley’s wisecracking assistant on Showtime’s comedy series, “Fat Actress.” In addition, he has snagged roles on “Californication,” “Oz,” “Entourage,” “7^th Heaven,” “King of Queens,” “Stacked,” “Las Vegas,” “West Wing,” “News Radio,” “Significant Others,” “CSI,” “Law and Order: SVU,” “NYPD Blue,” “Suddenly Susan,” and “Frasier.” He can currently be seen as a recurring character on USA’s “In Plain Sight,” as well as CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother.”

On the big screen, Callen has been seen in numerous other movies including Todd Phillips’ OLD SCHOOL, SCARY MOVIE 4, BAD SANTA, and THE GOODS: LIVE HARD, SELL HARD, for producer Will Ferrell.

Between television appearances and making movies, Callen headlines clubs and colleges throughout the US and internationally. His numerous standup television appearances include Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and CBS’s “The Late Show w/ David Letterman.” Callen is quickly becoming a recognizable face and his resume as an actor and standup comedian continues to swell.
