"TMI: SEARCHING FOR HAPPINESS ON GOOGLE"
We are connected constantly. I get up in the morning and check my e-mail. I check my text messages. I update my Facebook page. I read the top stories in the news. I check the weather. I tweet a thing or two. Then I leave my computer and turn on the TV. I download some TV information. Head to my car -- turn on the radio -- and drive to work while getting even more data. I check my GPS for traffic. I take a call or two in my car. It is clear: I am addicted to information! I know for sure - I took the test on "NetAddiction.com". I visit it at least 15 or 20 times a day. It really helps. Yes, there is a website for "Internet Addiction." Isn't that sort of like having an AA meeting with an open bar? So, I am an addict: I have all the warning signs: If I check my e-mail and I have NO messages - I check it again - immediately. Sometimes I send myself a message just to make sure my e-mail server is working. If I reach for my phone and it is NOT there - I panic. My heart races. I can't breathe. I want to issue an Amber Alert for my phone. I am addicted to my phone - my information "supplier". I have all the information in the world - but am I happier?

I am constantly searching: "What time does that movie start?", "What was the dog's name on the Jetsons?", "Where can I find Crocs in size 16 (yes, I wear size 16)?", "What is the Meaning of Life?" And although I have global database at my fingertips, it seems like I know less than ever before. "TMI" will talk how frustrating life has become. I will share how "my searching" led me to understand which information is most important: The information I share with my family and friends. In an Age where we can connect to someone 1/2 way around the world, we forget that the one's we REALLY need to connect with are right in front of us.

Slanted Comedy

Slanted Comedy is the longest running premier Asian show on the scene today. It was first introduced at the Hollywood Improv September 1, 2005 by Edwin San Juan, and is now ran and taken over by executive producer Mike Abara AKA Black Mike. Slanted Comedy brings you a showcase of Asian comics with a long list of credits from Comedy Central, BET, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Showtime, HBO, The Late Late Show, Lopez Tonight, Last Call With Carson Daly, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and the list keeps growing. Numerous celebrities have also dropped in and performed at Slanted Comedy shows. Executive producer Mike Abara has taken Slanted Comedy to new heights and it’s just going to keep getting better. Slanted Comedy wants to let everyone know that Asians are funny and talented too. Asians need their night and it is finally here. All in all this show was made for everyone. Alright, here's how it works. We're Orange County's best late-night improv comedy troupe featuring no-holds barred comedy. On any given night you'll see two groups of 20-30 year old comedians creating hilarious scenes on the fly based on your suggestions from the audience. Shows start at 11:00 and typically end around 12:15, at the Brea Improv

If you've seen other improv groups, you haven't seen us. We play hard, fast, and furious, and we want you to have as good a time as we do. We've been voted the Best Improv Group in Orange County by Fox, and the OC Register says that "Improv Shmimprov shows Los Angeles how it's done."

"Straight Fudgin' Comedy w/ Evan Cassidy" features the most original, up-and-coming comics from OC/LA!

Evan Cassidy:
Evan Cassidy performs his own schizophrenic brand of "character comedy" stand up nightly throughout OC/LA and beyond. While in college, Evan became notorious on campus at UCI for crashing dorm parties in character with a guitar as "The Singing Frenchman". In early 2007 he quickly moved his performances from the dorms to the local open mic scene, never breaking character in early years before and after shows.

After college, Evan began producing and starring in his own web series "Dudely Jones Comedy Tribe" (as featured in OC Weekly and Houston Press) and pursuing stand up full time. He has made great strides not only to create his own original act, but also to develop a supportive comedy scene in Orange County, hosting shows throughout every last corner of OC. From "party crasher" to host, Evan takes pride in delivering the most exciting comedy experience possible with each "Straight Fudgin' Comedy" show!
