Lauren Francesca: Lauren Francesca is a native New Yorker. She was bred to be an entertainer at a young age amongst a family of performers. Growing up backstage, in the audience of Broadway Shows, on the set of many commercials and at her parents dance studio and rehearsal space she realized there was no business like show business. As a toddler Lauren ran around the house with Madonna necklaces and a microphone performing at family functions for all her relatives. Her Father Fred Siretta was a Broadway actor, dancer and choreographer who worked with directors such as Elia Kazan. Her mother Jo Ann Cifala graduated from the Washington Ballet and danced in Broadway shows such as “Very Good Eddie” and “Whoopie”. During elementary school Lauren followed in her mother, Jo Ann Cifala and Father Fred Siretta’s foot steps and studied at their school, The American dance and Drama studio. She was also enrolled in a specialized performing Arts elementary school, PS164 as a vocal major. At the age of 10 she performed a solo for over 500,000 people at The Washington Monument’s “America Sings”. When she turned 11 she began studying at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School, and was accepted there as a full time student. Yet acting was always the art that came easiest for Lauren. In Jr. high she was a member of the Drama club. Her father who studied with Lee Strasberg, stressed the importance in both a classical education and in learning the processes of Constantin Stanislavski. So as per her father’s rules, after leaving the drama club every night she would review the work with her father and apply Stanislavki’s technique. At the age of 13, with less than 3 weeks until her specialized high school auditions, Lauren broke her ankle at a gymnastics’ competition doing aerials. Lauren taped up her ankle before every audition, and left wearing a boot. She was accepted to all of the NYC performing arts high schools. Lauren choose PPAS, Professional Performing Arts whose Alumni include- Jesse Eisenberg, Alica Keys, Clarie Danes, etc. Her first year of HS she was accepted into Alvin Alleys Junior Division on Scholarship, and placed in the highest level for dance, a rare accomplishment for freshman. Freshman year also marked her experience with her first talent Manager and was consistently auditioning after and sometimes during school. During High School Lauren was the editor of her school news paper and tutored many of her classmates. She also performed off off Broadway plays with American Theater Ensemble. Directed by Domanick Rossetti. At 17, confused about her direction, Lauren left performing and attended college as pre med. She turned down the opportunity to help her uncle, Daniel Siretta with a show he was working on, “Some Like it Hot” with Tony Curtis, because of a scholarship from Fordham. Unhappy at Fordham Lauren transferred to NYIT, New York Institute of Technology. Lauren became an asset to her schools organization. She contributed and organized food drives, gatherings for underprivileged children, donated materials for many charities and broke the record in her schools voter registration, registering over 200 people to vote. President of the schools honor society, Phi Eta Sigma, and the Women’s Association- Lauren spoke at many of her college’s open houses and ceremonies. And was also an active member of her colleges Drama program and performed every semester. Lauren graduated with a BS in premed, biology Sigma Cum Laude. Upon graduation she was awarded the Jules H. Singer Memorial Award, which is given to a student who has made an outstanding contribution to intellectual and cultural climate of the college during a period of the past academic year as well as the Richard Gabay Memorial Award, which is given to a student for demonstrating outstanding leadership in extracurricular activities. Right before she graduated she was picked by her college to film their orientation video for prospective students. After two days of being followed around by a camera crew Lauren was reminded of her creative roots. This re-ignited her passion for acting. Within a month back in the game Lauren was picked to host, “America’s Hottest Mom”. A show that was picked up by CBS but sat on the shelves due to the writers strike. Studying Miesner at William Espers, Lauren made acting her life. She started booking numerous roles on many different commercial and music videos. In 2008 and 2009 she appeared numerous commercials.
