Ralphie May is one of the most popular comedians in the country. His one-hour special, "Ralphie May: Prime Cut" premiered on Comedy Central in 2007. Filmed in front of a live audience in Knoxville, TN, Ralphie is the first comedian in history to record two specials in one night. "Prime Cut" is the follow-up to "Girth of a Nation" which aired on Comedy Central in 2006. Both were followed by a DVD and CD of the same name, released by Warner Bros. Records.
Known for his hip-hop brand of comedy, Ralphie has his ebonics and quick wit down pat, which has earned him roles in films such as "For Da Love Of Money" and "Gas." He was also the only white comedian to perform on "The Big Black Comedy Show," along with Mo'Nique, RodMan, Sexy Marie and Vince Morris.
Ralphie has a proven track record of selling out multiple shows in 1,500 to 3,000 seat venues. He has a no-nonsense point of view and the ability to connect with a diverse audience by pointing out society's hypocrisies. He doesn't shy away from touchy topics or ethnic jokes, nor does he bite his tongue. Ralphie sincerely believes that as long as what he's saying is true, people need to hear it. No topic is off limits, whether it be the 2004 tsunami, the death of Pope John Paul II or midgets.
On the small screen, Ralphie has worked as a writer and producer on ESPN's "Mohr Sports" starring Jay Mohr. He has performed stand-up on numerous late-night talk shows including multiple appearances on "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" and "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He has appeared on "The Man Show" and MTV's "Bash" as well as guest-starred on NBC's "Whoopie." As if that's not enough, on one of his recent appearances on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" he received a standing ovation, making him the first comedian in ten years to attain this honor. Ralphie hosted Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" in 2008 and his hour-long stand-up special, "Austin-Tacious," aired on the channel that same year.
Voted one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” Ralphie May has released, a record-setting, four one- hour comedy specials and will be releasing two more this year, proving that his relatable comedic genius is in higher demand than ever. In addition, he recently released a vintage ... [More]
