FCC Comedy Show #47 Carmen Vallone & Darren Moore
Hosted by: Adrian Mesa
Born in the crazy atmosphere of South Florida, this 1st generation Cuban-American comedian has honed his craft into a freeing and inspired comedy experience . He is equally adept at traditional stand-up, improvisation, and his very own brand of original guitar comedy. During his twenties he won various contests: Latino Laugh Festival in 2000 Winner of the Las Vegas Comedy Festival in 2003. He has featured on CBS' "Urban Latino" and Telemundo's MUN2, show "The Roof".He frequently visits New York City- a mecca for all artists. Aside from garnering props from pros at Caroline's Comedy Club,Gotham, or Stand-up New York, Adrian also has proven to be quite electric in the "alternative" rooms sprinkled throughout the Village and the outer boroughs. He also explored the great west, immersed himself into the Denver comedy scene-where original fresh comedy flows as freely as the hand-crafted micro brews. Now, back at his home base, Adrian has performed for Comedy Central's South Beach Comedy Festival, and was invited to Montreal's Just for Laugh's Comedy Festival where he was part of "New Faces of 2010" which spotlights up and coming comics from around the world. In 2011 his voice talents for an animated short, Xemoland, was chosen as an official selection for The Sundance Film Festival.
Headliner: Carmen Vallone
When spoken aloud, Carmen Vallone's name resonates as majestically as trumpets blown by the highest choir of angels in the kingdom of heaven. Don't worry though, his ticket price usually isn't any higher then about twelve bucks. With his enthusiastic smile, and happily twisted vision of everyday life, Carmen guides you through a night of entertainment as he talks about being from Upstate New York, living in Florida, and what life is like on the road. Never one to "attack" the audience, Carmen makes you feel right at home, and you'll never be scared to “sit in the front row”. In his seven years of comedy, Carmen has been so many places and performed on so many stages, you might think he had been doing comedy for eight years. He has been night clubbing with Bob Saget, he has drank champagne with Joan Rivers, and he went to a BBQ with Jim Carey. You might have seen Carmen on NBC's Last Comic Standing, CBS's Comedy Night School, or Jamie Kennedy's "Heckler" movie, but probably not. In addition to being a hilarious stand-up comedian, Carmen is also the host and producer of "A Joke Off ! ! !™". A nationally touring comedy competition, currently in development for national TV.
Feature: Darren Moore
Though he was born and raised in Southern New Jersey, Darren doesn't cement his skull with hair gel and sleep in a tanning bed. He's different. This was made clear to his parents by a preschool teacher who advised them that he "marched to the beat of a different drummer." This observation led to lucky Darren spending an extra year eating play-doh while all his friends moved on to kindergarden. After graduating high school at a spry 19 years old he then moved to Florida to pursue higher learning. This is where he discovered something much more important. Stand up Comedy. He has since spent the last 6 years traveling the country working with acts such as Billy Gardell, Amy Schumer, Michael Winslow, Tommy Johnagin, and Josh Blue to name a few. His array of characters, accents and voices combine with sharp but silly writing and physicality to bring an experiance that makes you want to "see more." Darren C Moore is the "see more" comic.
Beyond the great looks, and the constant drive to deliver a great set, his passion grows effervescently thru this business. He is great storyteller, observer, and can find humor in all things in life. Give him a heckler and he'll run with it! Originating from Dominican Republic, but raised in Miami, Sisqo has experienced all cultures in life, and welcomes all fans from across the world.
