Comedy Club Tickets & Your Ticket to Live Comedy
You know when you mention your new favorite comedian whom you just “discovered” on Comedy Central and there’s some snob in your group of friends that will chime in with, “Oh yeah, you just found out about so and so? I’ve been watching (him or her) for like 5 years!”
Annoying right? Well- not if you ARE that snob! LaughStub sits at the front line as a fierce opponent of “comedian ignorance” by providing greater access and info on the best shows and talent near you. This blog is meant to steer you toward names you might not have otherwise heard of, but you will be glad you did.
You’re better than those friends of yours and now you’ll be able to prove it. Snobbery looks great on you.

This week-
Meet LA-based Moshe Kasher: the ungodly funny comic with the rabbinic name.

Moshe Kasher. Comedian. Child Genius. Jew. Jew Comedian. OBGYN. Pleasure center. Good tipper. Guiding light. Beefcake.

Why he’s worth watching-
Moshe takes “self-reflexive” to the next level- giving amusing background on his jokes and going as far as reading bizarre actual comments from his own well-circulated YouTube comedy clip (Including such gems of comments about him like- “He looks like someone I want to punch in the face”) with a straight face and pitch-perfect delivery. Plus, thanks to his high octane delivery there’s virtually no lulls.
Would you be friends with him?
Moshe would be extremely entertaining to hang out with; well, until he tells the wrong person “I’m smarter than you”. And when the shit hits the fan this self-described “perverted Jew who you’re not sure is gay or not” might not be the best backup.
His style-
Moshe’s sarcastic takes are fresh, clever, and have a tendency to reveal something in the listener’s mind that he or she didn’t know was there. The jokes are well crafted and memorable enough to take home with you as a veritable comedy doggybag- they’re some mighty good eatin’.
Where you may have seen him-
Moshe did the Montreal Comedy Festival this year, was a big hit at “Live at Gotham” on Comedy Central; and you might have seen him a local restaurant if you are a nice Jewish girl and your mom set you up on an enchanting blind date with him.
His material-
Not afraid to clown on anything from himself, religion, and foreigners to more topical fare like Bernie Madoff’s nose.
Best occupation for him (other than comedy)-
Yeah, he put it out there himself- but Moshe as an OBGYN might just be a feature film in it’s own right, as women would do a cartoonish double take when Dr. Kasher comes into the room and awkwardly attempts to compliment their anatomy. We should actually petition this to happen.
BEST Bit(s)-
Heaven and hell- “Why, Bernie, why?,” his honest but sad take on the “99 cent pregnancy test,” and his crowd work are top notch.

His comedy album is available on iTunes: “Everyone You Know is Going to Die…And Then You Are”
And, of course, check LaughStub to catch Moshe’s stand-up live- you won’t regret it!
