Rob Janas Bio

Rob is a Los Angeles based actor and writer. A former company member of Chicago's famed Second City Theater, he wrote and performed three shows on their E.T.C. stage, including "Pratfall of Civilization". A long time Chicago improviser, he has worked extensively at I.O. Chicago, performing with groups including "JTS Brown", "Foursquare", and "The Armando Diaz Experience."

He has worked on several short films and video projects, including the award winning comedy "Stalk Much?" directed by Bill Baykan. He co-wrote and starred in a short called "Elevator" that was a favorite of Will Ferrell's on funnyordie.com. Rob also wrote and produced "The Clinic", a short film that was selected by several film festivals around the country, including L.A. Comedy Shorts.

Since moving out West, Rob has been performing at Second City L.A. with "Mr. Johnson" and at I.O. West with "Spirit Cat". He's also written, directed, and acted in several short films with Mr. Johnson that you can see on their youtube page at www.youtube.com/mrjohnsoncomedy.

Rob worked as a freelance ad copywriter with DraftFCB in Chicago for several years, and is also a trained opera singer.
