Ritchie Angeles Bio
Ritchie Angeles is a Southern California native who was bitten by the comedy bug after seeing his hero, Bill Hicks, on HBO. A big fan of comedy and music, Richie has opened for numerous recording artists including Peaches and Herb, Voo Doo Train, The Hot Rods and Joe Finkle and The 7/10 Splits. He’s been on stage at LA’s legendary nightspot The Derby, The Comedy District in Culver City and The Hollywood Improv, to name a few. An international comic who has headlined in Mexico, Angeles has performed for the Associated Press, opened for people like Shang, Tom Ryan, Jimmy Brogan and Jeff Garlin.Ritchie has also won an Emmy,a Mark Twain award and A Golden Mike for excellence in Television for Fox 11/MY 13 T.V. in Los Angeles.Ritchie has also been featured on XM Radio for the National Lampoon channel. Comedy’s “benevolent koala”, Angeles calls Venice Beach home, although he lives 14 miles away. The mayor of Venice Beach could not be reached for comment.
