Lauren O'Brien Bio

Lauren O'Brien first came onto the entertainment scene much like Justin Bieber; with a bad haircut and a viral video. Her “Office Party Drunk” video went viral before YouTube was created on a site called iFilm.com. With millions of worldwide views, the video made its way onto the airwaves of CNN, Howard Stern and most recently a TV special called “Rude Tube” in the UK. Since the 2004 video, she has honed her chops as an actress, stand-up comedian, writer and radio personality. Lauren is best known to her listening audience as “LOB” on the morning talk radio program she co-hosts called “The Mikey Show” on San Diego’s KBZT FM 94.9. She performs stand-up comedy regularly in the San Diego area most notably at the Comedy Store (La Jolla), The Comedy Palace, The MadHouse, Pechanga Comedy Club and The Belly Up Tavern. Her comedy troupe, Pearl Street Players, is lead by veteran comic Lamont Ferguson and also included original member Bobby Lee. She has appeared in several TV campaigns including national spots for Verizon, OnStar and Food Network. Lauren is a freelance writer for various publications with her regular column being published in the industry magazine ‘The Comic Bible’. Thought not a comedic accolade, Lauren was proud to appear in a music video for Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics in a song he co-wrote with U2’s Bono. The song, “American Prayer”, was in support of Obama and included such celebrities as Forest Whitaker, Jason Alexander, Whoopi Goldberg, Pamela Anderson and Margaret Cho.
