Jorge Martorell Bio
Jorge Martorell was born in the South Bronx, the oldest of two boys raised by a single mother. As a young kid, Jorge was always cracking jokes and doing what he does best, making people laugh. He stayed out of trouble by way of humor. He’s always excited about meeting new people. He feels that there is something to learn from everyone he meets, whether it’s good or bad. His act is a mixture of stories and characters that appeals to people of all backgrounds.
Growing up, he loved watching The Abbot and Costello Show, The Carol Burnett Show, The Honeymooners, etc. “These shows are dear to my heart. Pure and innocent comedy at its best.” The comedians he looks up to for inspiration are; Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor and Jerry Seinfeld. “There are far and few comedians that can perform with such class and coolness. They make it look so easy.”
Working full-time as a graphic designer by day, Jorge writes his own jokes and comedy routines on his spare time.
