Jon Gutierrez Bio
Jon Gutierrez has been studying and performing at the UCB theater since 2003 and is a member of the Beta Team The Brig and the Maude Team Arbuckle. He's been a member of five UCB Harold teams (most recently Scootch) and has written and performed in a ton of other shows, including The Iron Sheikh, Hot Lather: As The Diamond Burns and Over The Top Live: A Call To Arms.
Outside of the theater, he's a freelance writer for Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update and blogs for the nerd-humor sites Gamma Squad and Topless Robot. He's also written for McSweeney's Internet Tendency and The Huffington Post's Comedy Section.
In the comics world, he writes and storyboards the comic strip Twisted ToyFare Theatre and co-writes the comedy webseries Marvel Superheroes: What The?! for Marvel Comics. (He previously wrote for Wizard Entertainment's WizardTV and the Twisted ToyFare Theatre animated webseries before they stopped happening.)
