READ MOREJeff MacKinnon Bio
Jeff MacKinnon is a comedian who continually refines the art of stating his opinions as facts. Blending clever wordplay, biting sarcasm, inventive wit, and in-the-zone improv Jeff delivers dynamic and energetic performances to any audience with an attention span. His off-the-cuff style leaves many to wonder what was prepared and what was created on the spot.
For the past six years, he has proven himself to fellow comedians, audience members, and indifferent alcoholics at comedy clubs, bars, VFW’s, coffee shops, college auditoriums and/or cafeterias – even a two-month stint opening for an Illusionist at the Denver Civic Theater in front of crowds aged 4 – 104 years old. He was a finalist in countless subjective contests to determine comedic supremacy - 2004 – 2006 Comedy Works New Talent Search (Denver, Colorado), 2005 Wiseguy’s Rocky Mountain Laugh Off (Salt Lake City, Utah), 2008 Valley of Laughter Festival (Westfield, MA) – as well as the winner of the 2005 Stand-Up Comedy Battles (Denver, CO) and the 2006 Survival of the Wittiest (Westminster, CO).
His fanbase went international when he hosted numerous pop-culture and music-based shows on the 24-hour internet network ManiaTV.com. Hired to provide comedic relief and “edgy” misguided insight to various network shows, Jeff hosted shows as “Weekend Surf” (music-video requests), “Citizen Journalism” (video-blogs), “Wassup” (free-form comedy talk show), and “Wake the Hell Up” (morning talk-show), he moved quickly to show creator with “Loudmouths On Latenight” – their first exclusively political-comedy talk show.
Most recently, he provided comedic commentary for NBC’s The Doctors and Kurt the Cyber-Guy as well as created lasting memories with Drew Carey as a Showcase Showdown “comeback kid” on the The Price Is Right. Off-screen, he’s become a staple at nationally-renowned clubs such as the Ice House, Hollywood Improv, and the Comedy Store. He is also a founding member of Groundlings-bred Hot Ice! Sketch Comedy and the comedy supergroup Ryan James’ Ponies, rapidly growing a fanbase with the groups hysterical performances at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival and theaters around the city.
Fueled by insecurity and plenty of caffeine, Jeff continues to gain attention with the fresh material he consistently delivers from his small body and big mouth. Bringing Jeff to you is a no-brainer! Although, he would appreciate if you brought your brain to the show.
