Harrison Greenbaum Bio

After graduating summa cum laude from Harvard (where Harrison co-founded the Harvard College Stand-Up Comic Society), Harrison moved to New York City to pursue stand-up comedy full time.  Harrison has quickly become one of the most in-demand comedians in New York City, performing in more than 700 shows in 2009 and more than 500 shows in 2010 so far. In fact, the New York Daily News recently called Harrison "the hardest working man in comedy."

Named one of this year's "Comics to Watch" by Comedy Central, Harrison has also been featured on SPIKE TV, the Discovery Channel, and SIRIUS Satellite Radio. Harrison was also a co-host of the official Times Square New Year’s Eve World Wide Webcast, broadcasting LIVE to over 250 million viewers around the globe from iconic landmarks such as Times Square’s red steps and the Hard Rock Café marquee!

Harrison has received many awards and honors for his comedy as well. The winner of the 2010 Andy Kaufman Award, Harrison has also been a finalist in New York's Funniest Stand-Up Competition (part of the New York Comedy Festival); a finalist in the New York Comedy Contest (2010); a semi-finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival (2009); and a regional semi-finalist in RooftopComedy.com's National College Comedy Competition (2008).

Harrison recently headlined the sold-out "Andy Kaufman Funhouse" shows at TBS Just for Laughs Chicago, as well as headlined at Carolines on Broadway as part of Carolines and Punchline Magazine's "Breakout Artists Comedy Series," becoming the first and only artist of this series to sell out his show.

Harrison has been featured in a wide variety of national and international publications, including being highlighted for the "Joke of the Week" in TimeOut NY and being featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Boston Globe, and CNBC.com.

In addition to being a tireless performer, Harrison is the creator and co-producer of one of the longest-running, most successful independant weekly comedy shows in New York City, Sage Stand-Up (sagestandup.com), where he is a weekly featured act as well. Harrison also created, co-produces, and stars in a monthy magic and variety show in the heart of the Times Square, Manhattan Magic (manhattanmagicshow.com).

Harrison is a talented comedy writer as well. He is a writer for MAD Magazine and is currently developing several shows for television.

From colleges to comedy clubs, from talk shows to theaters, Harrison is bringing his unique style of comedy to audiences across the country and around the world!
