Gabriel Pacheco

Primarily autobiographical, Gabe Pacheco’s stand-up touches on growing up in Washington DC, teaching public school in the Bronx, going to raves, dating a professional tarot card reader, and being ethnically ambiguous. Prepare to be tickled until you are uncomfortable and then delighted some more by this energetic performer. He switches up his style from conversational to theatrical, weaves in and out of stories, engages in quick-witted crowd work, and delivers surprising punchlines. In 2010 he participated in the March Madness Competition at Comix, was the recipient of the Audience Choice Award in the New York Underground Comedy Festival, and showcased in the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival. After a week at Burning Man Gabe embarked on a tour across the country performing comedy in venues ranging from a Kung Fu themed coffee shops in Texas, to Las Vegas casinos, to the Punchline Comedy Club in Atlanta Georgia. He also entertained audiences from coast to coast in the 2010 Costa Rican Comedy Festival. You can catch Gabe hosting his weekly show, Get Lucky, in the East Village, and monthly on his multimedia video and live comedy showcase Anecdotal Evidence at the Creek and the Cave in Long Island City. See what journalists have called his “confident delivery and infectious stage presence.”
