Behind every great man is an even greater woman; behind Clint Coley’s career is a pretty girl at an open mic night. Notorious class clown and neighborhood funny-man, Clint found his calling while on stage trying to impress a girl. On February 7, 2007, he performed as a comedian for the first time and was booed. Not to be discouraged, the thrill of being on stage prompted Coley to continue to perform and he was booed for eight consecutive weeks. After “hitting the gym,” as he likes to say, Clint stepped in front of the audience the ninth week with better jokes, a greater presence and a performance that left the crowd roaring.
Today, 24 year old Clint Coley wows the crowd whenever he steps on stage. After conquering audiences in his hometown of Philadelphia, Coley knew that if he wanted to be the best in the world, he had to compete with the best in the world. In the summer of 2010, Clint picked up and moved to New York City to continue his quest to be the best comedian of his generation. Within months of arriving in New York City, Clint had won Amateur Night at the world famous Apollo Theater, performed with Capone and Tracy Morgan as well as won accolades from D.L. Hughley.
On October 21, 2010, Clint produced and headlined Babylon Cartel Presents: Clint Coley’s All Jokes Aside in front of a sold out crowd at the Freedom Theater in his beloved Philadelphia. Accustomed to being both the talent and businessman, Clint went on to organize the All Jokes Aside College Tour, visiting 14 colleges and universities throughout the country including UCLA, University of Maryland and Penn State University. Coley’s unrelenting hustle and passion led to him opening for several dates of the Royal Comedy Tour and the Mike Epps & Friends Tour, landing him on stage with the likes of Sommore, Bruce Bruce and Sheryl Underwood.
Always looking to raise the bar, Clint now resides in Los Angeles and plans to exceed the success he found in New York. His storytelling, dramatic punch lines, quick wit and undeniable charisma keeps Clint busy as he builds his reputation in the L.A. comedy circuit. With another tour in the making and a web-series in production, no one knows what the next year has in store for Clint’s career. However, you can rest assured that when he takes the stage, Clint Coley will stand and deliver.
