Brendon Walsh Bio
Brendon Walsh is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but started his comedy career in Austin, TX where he won the prestigious “Funniest Person In Austin” contest in 2004 and was voted “Best Stand-Up Comedian” in the Austin Chronicle’s “Readers Poll” in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 he performed at the Vancouver Comedy Festival and started touring the U.S. for the next three years performing at clubs, theaters and rock Venues opening for one of today's best and most controversial comedians, Doug Stanhope. During that time, Brendon also appeared on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as his original character, “Scary Monster” (a terrible monster stand up comedian), Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend”, and season 4 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” where he was eliminated after only three episodes!
In 2007 Mr. Walsh won the $10,000 grand prize on the comedy stage at Famecast.com, appeared at the Montreal Just For Laughs festival the following year and was also listed as one of the “Top 10: Emerging Comedians” on askmen.com. In 2009, Brendon performed at the first annual Bentzen Ball in Washington DC, the SXSW festival, the Fun Fun Fun fest and he will be performing at the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in 2010. He now lives in Los Angeles, CA where he has appeared in sketches for the G4 channel and performs regularly at the Laugh Factory, Hollywood Improv, UCB Theater, and is currently developing a pilot for the Spike network. Reverend Walsh is also an ordained minister in the “Universal Life Church” and has performed two wedding ceremonies so far.
